Captain’s License

Cap’n Geno’s Master’s “Ticket”

Responses

  1. Just heard that your Captain’s License is being revoked due to poor boat handling and poor seamanship in general. After all, a TRUE captain would be able to lock thru while tied up in the correct orientation – i.e., DOWNSTREAM. And no “ramming” of the walls would be required, either.

Sorry to hear that, but now that you’re retired, you can try again!

  2. Actually, they call ramming a lock wall with 25 knots of wind whistling up your butt “experience” in some circles, Mikey! I’ve done more boat handling in more situations in the last few weeks than the previous few decades, and I’ll say it again… it’s ALL good !!! :-)
    thanks for the post !

  3. Hey Cap’n Geno,

You got your license on my birthday. Sweet.

Your blog is fantastic, BTW. Great pics and info! I’m still on slow dialup, and you’re doing freakin’ webpages from a boat.

    And “Kent”? Who knew?

When you finally get to FL, you have to come up and see our “dream”. Well, Linda’s dream anyway.

    Bob T.

PS: We can’t get the band back together until you come ashore.
